One of the club's most popular offerings is the Seal Tour, a guided kayak tour that takes participants on a thrilling adventure to the Marengo Marine Sanctuary. Led by qualified guides, participants paddle in easy-to-use sit-on-top kayaks, receiving instruction in Surf Safety and Ocean Awareness along the way. The highlight of the tour is the opportunity to witness a resident seal colony, home to at least 100 fur seals. For those looking to ride the waves, Apollo Bay Surf & Kayak also offers surfing lessons. Led by qualified coaches, these one, and a half hour lessons take place on Apollo Bay's safe surf beach. Participants learn the basics of surfing, including Surf Safety and Ocean Awareness, and are provided with full-length wetsuits and safe soft 'G'-Boards with no sharp edges. The aim is to get participants standing on the board during their first lesson, fostering confidence and creating a fun and supportive learning environment.
