Established in the 2002-2003 season, QEII Track Club was formed through the amalgamation of two former clubs – Southern Suburbs Athletics Club Inc. and the Mt Gravatt Athletics Club Inc. The club took on the name QEII to reflect its strong association with the Qld Sport and Athletics Centre, which is considered the synonymous venue with Track and Field in Queensland.
The club's mission is to be the premier athletics club in Queensland, promoting membership and nurturing club members. QEII Track Club fosters a sense of community among its athletes, coaches, officials, and parents, encouraging teamwork and collaboration. The club strives to maintain stability and financial sustainability while creating a rewarding environment for members of all abilities to participate and celebrate athletics.
QEII Track Club is proud to have highly accredited coaches who are experienced in coaching athletes to compete at national and international competitions. These coaches have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, ensuring that athletes receive top-notch training to reach their highest potential.

QEII Track Club is a recognised Athletics (Track and Field) club affiliated with Queensland Athletics. Membership allows athletes to compete in all Queensland Athletics (QA), Athletics Australia (AA), and International Athletics Association Federation (IAAF) competitions and events.
