Southland Archery Club offers coached archery for beginners and experienced shooters in the Oreti Beach area. The club runs a three week beginner course teaching archery basics, safety, and shooting technique, with the bow and coaching supplied. It suits people aged 8 and older and is designed to work in all weather, with training deferred if conditions are extreme. Shooters train at the club's outdoor ranges around Sandy Point Domain, Otatara in summer and Kennington Road, Kennington in winter.
