The Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club (IBRSC) is excited to announce the highly anticipated 2024 Junior Sailing School. Known for its popularity and success, this event is the perfect opportunity for juniors between the ages of 7 and 17 to learn the art of sailing and become skilled racers.
With a whopping participation of over 50 junior sailors, the school offers tailored courses suitable for both beginners and more experienced sailors. Beginners will have the chance to sail in Oppies or Toppers, while those with more experience can choose to sail in Toppers, Fevas, and Lasers. Don't worry if you don't have your own boat yet, as the club offers club boats on a first come, first served basis.
For those looking to enhance their skills even further, the school also offers intermediate and racing skills courses. These courses are ideal for those eager to take their sailing abilities to the next level and become top-notch racers.
As for the cost of the courses, they range from £147 to £220, depending on the type of boat you own and the course you decide. We want to ensure that sailing is accessible to everyone, so there are options available to suit various budgets.
Mark your calendars because the Junior Sailing School will run from Sunday, April 21st, to Sunday, July 14th. Sessions will kick off at 1:45pm and wrap up around 5pm. It's going to be an exciting and action-packed adventure out on the water!
