Access Fitness

Access Fitness is a sports club located in Adelaide and Tanunda, offering a unique and inclusive gym experience for people with permanent or temporary disabilities. It is the first gym of its kind in the area and is equipped with specially designed wheelchair and disability accessible equipment, as well as a physiotherapy treatment facility.

They have exercise physiologists who perform screening and risk analysis to ensure safe and appropriate exercise and physical activity intervention. The exercise physiologists tailor exercise programmes for individuals at high-risk of developing or with existing chronic conditions or injuries. They focus on exercise prescription, function, and provide advice, support, and positive lifestyle changes.

The gym also has physiotherapists who help individuals affected by injury, illness, or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education, and advice. They take a “whole person” approach to health and well-being, considering the patient's general lifestyle. Patients are encouraged to actively participate in their own care through education, awareness, empowerment, and engagement in their treatment.

Access Fitness believes in accessible fitness for all, regardless of ability. They offer work conditioning and functional restoration programmes with a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation, providing clinically proven results. Membership options at Access Fitness are flexible, offering 12-month memberships, 3-month memberships, and casual visits. The club has a convenient location, with allocated parking available at their Fullarton office. Opening hours vary, and appointments are necessary.

The team at Access Fitness is composed of experienced professionals, including exercise physiologists Adam Lidiard, Joshua Beagley, Samantha Schmidtke, Nick Thunig, and Karina Sapiro. They also have senior physiotherapists Angus Lally and Sooraj Venugopalan, as well as physiotherapist Christina Hwang.
