

Known as AATC, the Australian Academy of Tai Chi & Qigong is a sports club located in Brisbane. With branches in various other locations in Queensland, such as Bundaberg, Gold Coast, Hervey Bay, Ipswich, Moreton Bay Region, Rockhampton, and Toowoomba, AATC offers Tai Chi and Qigong classes for everyone.
The academy has a diverse curriculum with a wide range of modules designed to cater to all abilities and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, AATC has classes suitable for you. They also offer more advanced and weapons sets for those seeking to deepen their training and skill level. Regular Tai Chi Park sessions are held in most areas, some of which are even sponsored by local governments and offered at free or low-cost rates.

Managed by the National Director of Training, National Chief Instructor, and Tai Chi Senior Master Rod Ferguson, the Queensland franchise of AATC was established in 1984. Rod oversees all aspects of the Queensland branch and conducts monthly instructor training to ensure that all AATC instructors possess a comprehensive understanding of Tai Chi arts and philosophies. Safety considerations and the use of approved academy exercises and sets are emphasised during this training.
