About
Beaumaris Auskick is a sports club in Melbourne that offers the NAB AFL Auskick programme, Australia's leading participation programme for kids. Aimed at children aged between 5 and 12 years old, Auskick helps young ones get active, develop valuable life skills, and make lasting friendships.
The NAB AFL Auskick programme is designed to introduce kids to Australian Football through game-based activities that are disguised as playing. No prior experience in Aussie Rules is necessary, as children can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5. The programme focuses on creating an inclusive and safe environment for all participants, and offers optional all-girls groups.
Each session at Beaumaris Auskick runs for one hour per week and incorporates fun drills and games that help kids improve their skills and confidence on the footy field. Participants are encouraged to wear whatever they feel comfortable in, as there is no need for expensive kit.
In addition to developing their football skills, Auskickers at Beaumaris Auskick receive a unique pack of exclusive footy goodies and an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice. This membership includes access to AFL games and the opportunity to play halftime at AFL and AFLW elite matches alongside their footy heroes.
Parents play a critical role in the NAB AFL Auskick programme and are encouraged to get involved at every stage. From coordinating activities to simply providing encouragement, families contribute to the fun and inclusive environment that Auskick aims to create. Local Auskick coordinators are available to provide more information on how parents can get involved.
For those looking to take their Auskick experience to the next level, Beaumaris Auskick offers the chance to join Team NAB AFL Auskick. Registered Auskickers have the opportunity to win a spot on this team, which grants them a Grand Final Week experience and the chance to present a medal to their footy heroes at the Grand Final. The lucky winner also receives $5,000 spending money for the team captain.
