The term 'Bushwalking' was adopted by the Sydney Bush Walkers club in 1927. It is a convenient and easy sport for beginners, which can increase in its intensity depending on the experience of the athlete and difficulty of the walk. It can range from a day to several days of walk throughout a variety of terrains. There are over 200 known Bushwalking clubs across Australia.
