Coogee Beach Volleyball Association

Coogee Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) is a vibrant and inclusive sports club located at the picturesque Coogee Beach in Sydney, Australia. With over 300 members from diverse cultural backgrounds, CBVA prides itself on creating a community that connects people through the exhilarating sport of beach volleyball in a fun and social environment.

CBVA is affiliated with both the State Volleyball NSW and the Australian Volleyball Federation, ensuring that members have access to high-quality facilities and opportunities to participate in regional and national tournaments. The club boasts 2 permanent courts at Coogee Beach, along with 3 additional portable nets at the northern end of the beach, providing ample space for members to play and train.

The association offers various training programmes for members of all ages and skill levels. The CBVA Junior Programme is specifically designed for children aged 5 to 17, offering a mix of social and competitive activities to nurture the next generation of beach volleyball players. For adults aged 18 and above, CBVA provides beginner, intermediate, and advanced training classes, led by experienced and highly skilled coaches. The club also offers advanced training squads for members who compete in the State and National Beach Volleyball League.

CBVA prides itself on being a close-knit family. Founded in 2008 by a small group of friends, the association has grown into a well-respected and organised club. CBVA's board and subcommittees are run by dedicated volunteer members who work tirelessly to improve the club and create more opportunities for both the members and the local community.
