The club offers three levels of boxing classes: Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced. Fundamentals classes are designed for those who are new to boxing. During these 40-minute sessions, members will have the opportunity to learn the basics of boxing, improve their fitness, and get a feel for the gym and its friendly atmosphere. Experienced coaches will assess each member's fitness and skill level, recommend the best sessions moving forward, and provide guidance on improving boxing technique.
Intermediate classes are for individuals with a real interest in boxing who want to level up their technique and polish their skills. These classes focus primarily on delivering boxing technique and skills instruction. Coaches provide an in-depth look at boxing, teaching advanced skills, defensive techniques, and the science behind the sport. Intermediate Boxing classes are open to anyone with a solid foundation of boxing skills and an intermediate level of fitness.
For those preparing for their next fight or who enjoy contact drills and sparring, Advanced Boxing classes offer intensive training and instruction. These classes are tailored to amateur and competitive boxers with intermediate levels of fitness and boxing experience. Members can expect an intensive workout, boxing instruction, pad and bag work, partner drills, strength training, and conditioning. Sparring is not mandatory in Advanced Boxing sessions.
Each class at Corporate Fitness Centre focuses on different aspects of boxing skills and exercises. Offence sessions cover a variety of punches, including the jab, cross, overhand, body shots, left hook, right uppercut, and left uppercut. Defence sessions teach defensive techniques such as the duck, pullback, rolls, slips, and advanced defence forms like the roll block, shoulder roll, and combination roll and slips. Footwork sessions focus on lateral and longitudinal movement, aggressive/defensive positioning, circling, stance switching, and advanced movement such as backpedalling, shuffling, leading and countering, pivoting, side stepping, and distance control.
Conditioning sessions combine strength work and cardio conditioning, providing a total body workout.
