The Daylesford Basketball Association is a thriving sports club located in Daylesford - Hepburn Springs, Australia. The club provides individuals of all ages with the opportunity to participate in basketball competitions and develop their skills in a friendly and competitive environment.
Under the leadership of President Carson White, the club has made significant strides in organising and running basketball competitions for both junior and senior players. Junior competitions include the Under 10s for beginners and Under 15's for intermediate players. These competitions take place from 4pm to 6pm, providing young athletes with a chance to showcase their talents.
For senior players, the club offers men's competitions with games starting at 6:30pm and 7:20pm. All interested players are encouraged to attend the scheduled game times to be part of the teams. In addition, players from the previous summer season are requested to bring along their basketball tops.
To ensure eligibility, all players, both junior and senior, must be registered with Basketball Victoria. The registration fee is $45 for a full year and $50 per term for juniors (term 4 2016 and term 1 2017). Registration can be done online, and instructions will be provided to junior parents when the payment link is available. For men's teams, the fee is $50 per team per game.
The club expresses its gratitude to Tegan and Karina for their efforts in securing referees and getting basketball started again. The club's games and activities take place at the ARC, providing players and spectators with a comfortable and convenient venue.
In addition to the on-court action, the Daylesford Basketball Association is committed to improving communication and engagement among its members. Through the use of the Team App, teams and social groups can create their own smartphone app to enhance communication.
