The IBA offers basketball programmes for players of all ages and skill levels. They run both junior and senior competitions, catering to individuals, teams, and clubs. The 2020/21 summer season is currently open for registrations. The association offers various categories, including men's, women's, and mixed social leagues. Teams interested in participating can register through the IBA's website or by contacting the association directly. The registration form collects all the necessary information for players and teams, ensuring a smooth registration process.

The IBA understands the importance of affordability, and they strive to keep their prices reasonable for participants. Summer prices for 2020/21 include a $39. 00 fee for Vic Country and insurance, a $15. 00 registration fee per player per team, and a $70.

00 forfeit bond for mixed social teams. Additionally, there is a $10. 00 weekly door charge for all participants.

To provide clarity on the new travel rule in basketball, the IBA offers a demonstration video on their website. This video breaks down each move and provides a visual reference for players and teams. Any further questions or concerns about the rule can be discussed with the umpires before the game.

The IBA also emphasises the importance of appropriate behaviour and sportsmanship. They have introduced the Sin Bin guidelines to ensure that all players and spectators maintain respectful conduct. Players who receive a technical foul may be sent off the court for a period of 5 minutes, during which they can be substituted.
