The club was formed in late 2006 by members of the Cove, a supporter group of A-League club Sydney FC. The club began playing ESFA competition matches in 2007, however the Club's beginnings trace back to 2005, when a charity match was played between members of the Cove and the Marinators (Central Coast Mariners supporters).
