Who We Are....
We are a dragon boat club that paddles from the Montrose Foreshore, Glenorchy and New Norfolk. The club began in 2012 with a few enthusiastic paddlers who wanted to share the joys of dragon boating with the wider community. MoCo stands for Montrose Community, and we welcome anyone over the age of 12 to come and paddle with us.
The beauty about dragon boating is that you don't have to be super fit to enjoy it. Our focus is on the social aspect of paddling as well as the health benefits that come from paddling. Having fun and making frends are important as is the aspiration to compete and improve paddling skills. At MoCo paddlers are given the opportunity to improve their fitness and paddling skills, as well as form strong bonds through team effort and participation.
