The South Perth Baseball Club was established in 1947 with Jim Dore as its first coach. The club was A grade (now known as State League) premiers in 1947, 1948, 1951, 1952, 1967, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2012 & 2013. The AAA/Reserves team were leadings in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005 & 2010 making South Perth one of the most successful baseball clubs in Western Australia.
South Perth has been recognised as 'Club of the Year' by the state's governing body Baseball WA a record 12 times in the 17 years of the award.
