Welcome to the website of Surfers Paradise Game and Sport Fishing Club Inc. Our clubs focus is to bring people together through a love of fishing and forge new and long-lasting friendships with like-minded people. We are an extremely family friendly club who actively promotes introducing children to a life long passion for game fishing.

We are truly blessed on the Gold Coast with the variety of fishing opportunities available. Our club members generally fish from the Tweed Coast up to Cape Moreton and regularly travel to where the fish are biting up and down the coast. Our main target species are Marlin which are around all year on the wider fishing grounds. There are numerous other game species available also.

The summer months are an ideal time for new members and juniors to target their first game fish on the local inshore reefs. Once you are connected to a game fish, you are hooked for life. You don’t need a 40ft battle wagon to catch serious game fish.

Our club is based out of Southport Yacht Club, and apart from hosting our monthly meetings, is Gamefish Base for our annual Tournament. Held in March each year, our tournament attracts boats from up and down the coast, where anglers and crew have the opportunity to share the world-class facilities of our base at Southport Yacht Club. In addition to our annual tournament the club runs a yearly points score competition and our club members actively participate in QGFA All Ports Competition and other tournaments in Queensland and New South Wales.
