The Sydney Sirens Ice Hockey Team comprise the best female talent in NSW competing in the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL). The Sirens are one of the four founding teams in the AWIHL, and were known as the North Star Sirens from 2010 to 2011 when they were based out of Newcastle. Many former and current Sirens players have represented Australia in the U18 and Senior Women’s World Championships, including our Captain Amelia Matheson and Remi Harvey who are the only two players who have played for the Sirens every season since the start of the AWIHL. The Sirens have been preliminary champions twice (2008/2009 and 2016/2017), and won the AWIHL Championship in 2016/2017.
