The Hound Club of South Australia Inc was formed in 1964 with a meeting of interested Hound owners and exhibitors. The Club promotes the conformation exhibition of ANKC recognised hound breeds, both sight and scent hounds.
Championship and Open Shows are held annually, and a quarterly newsletter is published & distributed to Members. Over time, many trophies, and awards have been donated, and a Hound of the Year and Runner Up Hound of the Year are awarded to those Hounds achieving high awards at Championship shows throughout the year. The committee are all Hound owners and enthusiasts, who will willingly tell you all they know about Hound behaviour and traits.
