About
The Universities Women's Cricket Club was formed in 2004. It is a club dedicated solely to women’s cricket and is backed by both Sydney University and University of NSW, and is open to all women, whether you attend university or not.
The club currently has first, second and third grade teams, along with a U/17s (Brewer Shield) team, competing in the Sydney Women's Grade Competition.
Universities WCC home grounds for first, second, third, and Brewer Shield teams are at the various Sydney University and UNSW playing fields, including Sydney University Ovals No. 1 & 2, St. Pauls, The Village Green and David Phillips Ovals.
The women's club caters for experienced players through to beginners. We provide (at no cost) communal equipment to any new players who may not have the necessary equipment to play (ie bat, helmet, pads, gloves, etc).
