Welcome to the Willoughby District Junior Rugby League Football Club (JRLFC), affectionately known as the Willoughby Roos. Established in Sydney, our club offers a welcoming and supportive sporting environment for players of all ages.
The Willoughby Roos proudly compete in the North Sydney Junior Rugby League Competition, fielding teams in various age groups. Our club caters to children as young as 5 and up to the age of 13 and beyond, with divisions including Minis (5-8 years old), Mods (9–12 years old), and Rugby League (13+).
Our training sessions take place at the picturesque Willoughby Park, located in Willoughby East. Training is held on Tuesdays from 5pm to 8pm and on Thursdays from 4:30pm to 8pm, providing our players ample opportunity to develop their skills and forge lifelong friendships within the Roos family.
Game days are held on Saturday mornings, with a percentage of matches taking place at our home ground, Willoughby Park. Games at our home ground kick off at 8:30 am, allowing players and their families to enjoy the thrill of live rugby league action.
We take pride in upholding high standards of coaching and player welfare. All of our coaches hold NRL accreditation, ensuring that our players receive top-notch guidance and support. Additionally, every game is overseen by an accredited sports trainer, ensuring the safety and well-being of our players at all times. Coaches and referees maintain strict adherence to codes of conduct and safe play protocols, guaranteeing a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
On game days, our canteen is open, serving delicious hot food and refreshing cold drinks. Additionally, we offer the convenience of an EFTPOS machine, making it easier for you to grab a coffee and warm up on those chilly winter mornings.
Throughout the season, we celebrate significant rounds with special home game events, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for players and spectators alike. These events serve as opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy the camaraderie and spirit of rugby league.
