Woden Swim Club

The Woden Valley “Sharks” Swim Club was established in Canberra on 21 June, 1971. We are an incorporated, non-profit organisation, governed by club by-laws, managed by a Committee of dedicated parents and staffed by licenced swim coaches. We train at the Lakeside Leisure Centre, Anketell Street, Tuggeranong.

Our club provides opportunities for families to come together in a healthy environment around the sport of swimming to compete, train and have fun. The club has a proud history of participating in the sport of swimming, and we have a strong competitive focus. Our swimmers range in ability from pre-competitive swimmers through to swimmers who have achieved national and international time standards. We have produced swimmers who have competed at levels including the Olympics and Paralympics.

Although we are largely funded by membership fees, we conduct regular fundraising activities to ensure our facilities are of a high standard. We are grateful for the generous support of our community, and our major sponsors.
