Welcome to Yoga with Dana - Otford, a top sports club located in the beautiful Wollongong City Council area. At Yoga with Dana, we believe in promoting health and harmony through the practise of yoga, an ancient science that focuses on the evolution of humanity.
Our classes cater to a wide range of individuals, from prenatal yoga for expectant mothers to mums and bubs yoga for new mothers and their babies. We also offer kids yoga classes designed to cultivate confidence, concentration, and balance in school-aged children. Our positive and non-competitive environment encourages creativity and fosters self-reflection and social interaction.
For expectant mothers, our prenatal yoga programme provides safe and nurturing exercises to support a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. This programme includes detailed instructions and photos, allowing you to practise at home or in conjunction with our prenatal yoga classes. We focus on postural awareness, breathing techniques, upper body poses to release tension, and exercises to strengthen the back and legs.
In our kids yoga classes, we tailor the sessions to specific age groups, ensuring the best learning environment for children aged 5–8 years, 9–12 years, and 13–18 years. Through these classes, children develop strong and flexible bodies, improve concentration and balance, and increase body awareness. Our trained instructor, Dana, can also visit before and after school care facilities and vacation care during school holidays in the St George area and Sutherland shire, Sydney.
Additionally, we offer kids yoga therapy sessions, where yoga is used as a corrective exercise for various conditions such as asthma, stress and anxiety, lower back issues, digestion, ADD, depression, and focus and attention difficulties. These private lessons are 45 minutes long and are aimed at children aged 5 years and above.
