These activities not only help individuals become more agile, flexible, and stronger, but also teach important values such as respect, teamwork, and self-improvement. The Academy of Judo believes in the social responsibility of fostering the youth and providing them with the best opportunities for the future. With nearly 250 members of all levels and ages, the Academy offers tailored schedules for children as young as 2 years old.
Established in 1967 in the city of Sept-Iles, the Academy of Judo boasts a training platform that meets the standards of Judo Quebec. With qualified staff and training partners, the Academy is dedicated to providing a safe and conducive environment for learning and practice. Families can benefit from reduced rates for multiple members, and registration is open throughout the year. Those interested can avail of a trial class to experience the benefits of Judo firsthand.
The Academy's training schedule for the year 2019-2020 includes sessions for various age groups and skill levels, from young beginners to advanced teens and adults. Judogi attire and sandals are mandatory for training, and the Academy can provide a Judogi for those trying out Judo for the first time. It is recommended to bring a water bottle and towel for training sessions.
