Whether you reside in Mile-End, Plateau, downtown, or the southwest neighbourhoods of the le de Montral, you can find your place and passion at Acadmie Ballet Flamenco Lina Moros. The winter session of 2024 brings exciting new offerings, including beginner courses that allow students to explore their bohemian side, unleash their strength and grace, and connect with passionate individuals. A 10% discount is offered for early registrations before January 16th, and a free trial class is available for beginners.
The school offers beginner classes for those without prior experience, focusing on essential elements like taconeo (footwork), braceo (arm movements), palmas (hand clapping), and fundamental choreography, all while maintaining the traditional comps (rhythm) of flamenco. Additional levels are available, from elementary to intermediate/advanced, welcoming new students at all levels. With classes at two convenient locations, students can choose between Studio Sol (near Place des arts) and Studio KlaXson (near Atwater metro).
The art of flamenco, with its harmonious blend of song, music, and dance, embodies a unique synergy that originated with the Andalusian Gypsies. Flamenco not only develops the body through movement but also stimulates the mind with new rhythms and touches the soul with deep emotion. It fosters self-awareness and empathy, becoming not just a dance form but a way of life. As Federico Garcia Lorca once said, "Flamenco was born of the first sorrow and the first kiss.
