Ardmore Marist Rugby Club, founded back in 1997, is the biggest rugby club in the Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union. They’re located at Bruce Pulman Park in Takanini, New Zealand, and have top-class facilities including eight sand-based playing fields and floodlit training areas. You’ll find four senior teams here, covering premiership, top Reserves, and top Women’s divisions, plus a buzzing junior section with 22 teams and over 410 registered junior players.
The club is in good hands with President Martin Devoy, Vice President/Chairman Chris Butler, Treasurer Dylan Chatterton, Secretary Karen Foster, Manager Admin Nancy Manu, and a Rugby Development Officer keeping things running smoothly. They’re still sorting a Club Manager for Ops, but rest assured, they’ve got everything covered.
Ardmore Marist has a legacy stretching back to 1948 when the Ardmore Teachers Training College kicked off its first game of rugby. Over the years, they’ve produced some legendary All Blacks and heaps of talented Counties players. After merging with Counties Marist in 1997, they’ve grown stronger, scooping up championships and titles like the Rawiri Trophy in ‘96 and top Championship wins in 2001 and 2002.
