Argo Fitness

Argo Fitness is a fitness centre located in Whitehaven, New Zealand. With a focus on strength and fitness, Argo Fitness provides a comprehensive range of facilities and services to help individuals achieve their fitness goals.

The facility boasts a variety of free weights, bars, and benches to cater to all levels of strength training. Members have access to adjustable benches, including a unique ab bench coming in November, as well as fixed 70-degree benches. Additionally, there is a wide selection of Olympic barbells and a 2. 5-60 kg dumbbell set.

With over 1000 kg of cast/rubber plates, members have plenty of options to challenge themselves.

Racks and platforms are available for various exercises, including squat racks, over 10 squat stations, and a deadlift platform. Argo Fitness also offers specialised equipment such as a 45-degree leg press, hack squat, and hip thrust machine. In November, the facility will introduce a horizontal leg press, plate loaded leg curl, wide chest press, and bench for seated rowing.

For upper body training, Argo Fitness provides Olympic flat and incline benches, plate loaded chest press, and a pec fly/rear delt machine. They also offer a lat pull-down, seated low row, plate loaded shoulder press, preacher curl, and cable crossover. A dual adjustable pulley is available for seated abdominal work.

In addition to strength training equipment, Argo Fitness has a range of cardio machines to cater to cardiovascular fitness. Members can utilise rowing erg machines, ski ergs, bike ergs, assault bikes, curved running machines, stair climbers, and treadmills.

For those interested in strongman training or functional fitness, Argo Fitness offers equipment such as Atlas stones, yoke, axle bar, sled, farmers handles, sandbags ranging from 20 kg to 120 kg, kettlebells, slam balls, medicine balls, and various sized boxes and jerk blocks.

Argo Fitness is open 7 days a week, with member access available from 5am to 9pm. Located at Coach Road, Whitehaven, CA28 7 TB, the facility provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals looking to improve their strength and fitness levels.
