About
Welcome to Art Vision, a dynamic dance academy nestled in the historical heart of Bhubaneswar. Founded in 1996 by the illustrious Padmashree Dr. Ileana Citaristi and a group of multidisciplinary artists, Art Vision has grown into a vibrant cultural hub where dance, painting, cinema, and literature converge. Located on the scenic banks of the sacred Bindu Sagara lake, the academy is dedicated to nurturing artistic talent and fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.
Art Vision is renowned for its Odissi and Mayurbhanji Chhau dance classes, guided by the expertise of Dr. Citaristi. The academy provides not just instruction but a full cultural immersion, with hostel facilities available for visiting students. Year after year, students showcase their prowess through regular performances, captivating both local and international audiences with their lyrical movements and expressive storytelling.
The academy's commitment to the arts extends beyond dance to innovative events that blend various artistic forms. Signature events like the Kalinga Mahotsav celebrate martial arts against the backdrop of the serene Shanti Stupa, while the annual "Festival of Films on Performing and Visual Arts" offers a rare cinematic treat for art enthusiasts. Regular cultural functions at the mini-auditorium introduce audiences to lesser-known traditional art forms, making each visit to Art Vision a unique experience.
Art Vision's influence has reached far and wide, with the repertory group performing at prestigious venues across India and internationally. Notably, the group presented the dance drama "SIDDHARTHA" in Lisbon and other cities in Portugal, commemorating India's 70th year of independence. From intimate local performances to grand international stages, Art Vision continues to be a beacon of artistic excellence and a nurturing ground for the next generation of performers.
For those with a passion for dance and a desire to be part of a vibrant artistic community, Art Vision is a place where creativity blossoms and traditions thrive.
