Dan Sainsbury, the head coach at Axis BJJ Rolleston, is an experienced black belt practitioner with over 12 years of BJJ training under his belt. He received his black belt from Hayden Bucknell at Axis HQ Christchurch. Dan specialises in NoGi grappling but also has expertise in traditional gi training. He is also a qualified physiotherapist, having completed a masters of sports physiotherapy.

Dan has been working with BJJ athletes and martial artists for their injury recovery and training since 2011.
