Bath Divers is a friendly group of SCUBA diving enthusiasts based in Bath, New Zealand. Affiliated with the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), one of the oldest and most respected diving certification bodies worldwide, Bath Divers is dedicated to helping individuals explore and appreciate the captivating underwater world along the coasts.
With around 60 members of varied ages and qualifications, Bath Divers offers a diverse and welcoming community. The club consists of an equal number of men and women, spanning across different age groups from their 20s and upwards. Members range in experience, ensuring that suitable diving buddies are always available to explore with.
The club gathers every Wednesday evening at a local pub in Combe Down to plan upcoming activities for the weekends. Bath Divers strives to provide a balanced blend of social events, both diving-related and beyond, while also advancing skills and assisting others in embracing the wonders of underwater life.
As part of BSAC, joining Bath Divers comes with several benefits. Members receive a monthly glossy magazine filled with captivating information about UK and overseas diving, acquisition of skills, and club updates. Subscribers can choose to receive a digital version of the magazine for convenient access on phones or tablets. Additionally, membership includes public liability insurance, covering diving activities within BSAC guidelines and safeguarding against accidental damages.

For those who have never embarked on a diving adventure, Bath Divers offers “try-dive” sessions every Wednesday evening during their regular pool training slot. These hour-long sessions in a private swimming pool are led by qualified and experienced instructors. Furthermore, Bath Divers is proud to own a 6. 3-metre rigid inflatable boat (RIB), which is typically harboured at one of the south coast ports for weekend diving adventures. The boat offers members the opportunity to explore the underwater world in their own vessel, further enhancing the diving experience.
