Southbourne Canoe Club's Beginners Kayaking Course promises to be a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of kayaking. Whether you're a complete novice or just looking to brush up on your skills, this course is tailored to help you gain confidence on the water.
For just £55, participants will get hands-on experience with all the necessary gear - boat, paddle, and buoyancy aid - and receive expert guidance on the basics of paddling in calm waters. With safety as a top priority, the course will cover essential skills while ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Taking place on Sunday, May 11th, 2024, at the scenic slipway at Hengistbury Head outdoor centre, this course will run from 9 am to around 4 pm. It's important for participants to be at least 12 years old (children as young as 8 are also welcome) and be comfortable swimming 50 meters.
To sign up, interested individuals will need to become a member of Southbourne Canoe Club and then book their spot through the convenient Webcollect system. With discounts available for under 16s and students, there's no reason not to jump in and join in on the fun!
