Biggin Hill Judo Club

Biggin Hill Judo Club, established in 1992, is a Judo club located in Biggin Hill. The club offers traditional Kodokan Judo and self-defence training for individuals of all ages and abilities. Whether you're looking for a full-contact martial art, an Olympic Paralympic sport, a recreational activity, a fitness programme, a form of self-defence, or just a fun hobby, Biggin Hill Judo Club has it all.

Affiliated to the National Association of Karate and Martial Arts Schools (NAKMAS), the club ensures high-quality training and adheres to the principles of traditional Kodokan Judo. The club boasts a team of highly experienced instructors, all of whom are enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained. With a dedicated child protection officer and trained first-aiders, the club prioritises the safety and well-being of its members.

Biggin Hill Judo Club offers flexible training sessions throughout the week. On Wednesdays, sessions take place at Blundell's Fitness, Sports & Leisure Club (formerly Biggin Hill Squash Club) on Jail Lane. The sessions for 5–11 years old run from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by sessions for 11–18 years old from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Adult sessions are also available.

The cost for each session is 3. 00 for children and 4. 00 for adults. Family discounts are available, and jackets can be borrowed for those new to the sport.

The first two sessions are free, allowing individuals to try out Judo before committing.

Additionally, on Saturdays, the club offers a popular Little Dragons class for children aged 3–5 years. These sessions take place at Blundell's Fitness, Sports & Leisure Club and run from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. The cost for the Little Dragons class is 3. 00.

Open sessions for training across three mats are available from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm for children aged 5–18 years and adults, with a cost of 4. 00.

Biggin Hill Judo Club is proud of its achievements and regularly recognises the hard work and dedication of its members. The club presents the Jack Petchey Achievement Award and Student of the Month awards, highlighting exceptional performances. The club also organises an annual awards night, where members receive trophies and recognition for their achievements.

Outside regular training, Biggin Hill Judo Club promotes community engagement and organises various events and excursions. The club recently visited the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, offering members an opportunity to learn about the local area's history and the significant role RAF Biggin Hill played during World War II.
