Tom and Libby, both Level G4, are experienced instructors who bring their expertise and knowledge to the Braveheart Krav Maga team. They are qualified to teach both kids and adults, ensuring that all members of the Ferny Hills community can benefit from their guidance.

Jess and Collin, Level G1, are enthusiastic and dedicated instructors who are constantly improving their skills and knowledge in Krav Maga. They are committed to creating a positive and supportive training environment for all students at Braveheart Krav Maga.

At Braveheart Krav Maga, the focus is on real-world self-defence. Krav Maga, which translates to “combat contact” in Hebrew, is not a traditional martial art or sport. Instead, it emphasises practical techniques for dealing with real-life threats and hand-to-hand combat situations.

Students are taught to stop threats quickly and safely by targeting vulnerable areas of the body like the groyne, eyes, neck, and fingers. The use of everyday objects as weapons is also encouraged, ensuring that students can effectively defend themselves using whatever is available to them.

In training, Braveheart Krav Maga aims to simulate real-world situations to prepare students for the unpredictability of an attack or street fight. The classes provide structure and progression through the Practitioner (P) and Graduate (G) level gradings, allowing students to continuously improve their skills and progress as a group.

However, grading is not mandatory, and students have the option to train without participating in the grading process. The most important aspect is learning and developing the necessary skills to protect oneself and others.
