Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International is a worldwide organisation consisting of affiliated Choi Kwang Do schools. The name Choi Kwang Do originates from the esteemed Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi, with "Choi Kwang” representing his name, and “Do” signifying “The Way. ” As a result, Choi Kwang Do embodies Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi's art and philosophy. Grand Master Choi's extensive grasp of biomechanics, sequential movement, and exercise physiology has enabled him to create a mighty martial art that maximises power in punches and kicks through proper technique, without causing harm to the joints.

Yet, the art goes beyond physicality. The comprehensive belt structure and classes offer a roadmap for enhanced health and longevity, suitable for individuals of all ages. This comprehensive programme is the epitome of power, health, and longevity.

The instructor at Brisbane CKD has been appointed as a chief instructor of CKD by CKD International Headquarters, based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. With an impressive background as a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Australian Army and former Black Hawk and Chinook helicopter pilot, the instructor brings valuable experience to the school. Additionally, they are a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers, specialising in mathematics, science, and health physical education. The instructor's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) majoring in Physical Education and Mathematics from RMIT, a Master of Management Studies from UNSW, and Advanced Diplomas in Aviation and Project Management.

Accredited as a master coach with Martial Arts Australia, an industry peak body, the instructor also serves as a chief instructor and a full member of the CKDMAI Board of Examiners with CKD International. Furthermore, they are a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance International, bringing a well-rounded approach to physical and mental well-being.
