Welcome to Brislington School of Dance, a prestigious dance and theatre school located in Bristol, Avon. With classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, and Theatre, we offer a diverse range of options for aspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels.
Established in the 1980s as the Debbie Christine School of Dance, our school has a rich history and has produced excellent exam results in Ballet, Modern, and Tap. We are proud to be a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance/Silver Swans and the British Theatre Dance Association.
Our highly qualified and experienced teachers are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and discover their love for dance. With their guidance, students can participate in regular shows and medal tests, providing them with valuable performance experience.
We offer a variety of classes throughout the week to accommodate different schedules. On Saturdays, we have Ballet classes for beginners aged 5–7 years and Commercial Jazz classes for children aged 6–10 years and 11–15 years. Tuesdays feature Silver Swans ballet classes specially designed for older learners, focusing on improving mobility, posture, coordination, and energy levels.
Our Thursday classes include Beginners Level 1 Ballet for all ages and Intermediate Ballet/Tap/Modern for those with prior training. On Fridays, we have Adults Beginners Level 1 Ballet/Tap/Modern classes and a Stagehands Musical Theatre Group for ages 6–14 years, covering singing, dance, and drama.
In addition to the physical benefits of dance, research shows that it also contributes to a better quality of life.
