John, the organiser of Brixton Bulls RLFC, South London's top community rugby league club in Thornton Heath, has some updates for the sports community. Recently, the club earned the 2023 Club of the Year at the London Rugby League Foundation awards, a testament to their commitment across all age groups and categories.

Brixton Bulls offers teams for all ages and abilities, from under 6 to over 35 and beyond. They stand as the only London club to cater to such a wide age range, highlighting their dedication to promoting rugby league in the community.

The club places a strong emphasis on togetherness and support within the team and aims to build strong connexions with rugby league enthusiasts in South London and beyond. They create an inclusive environment where players of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities feel welcomed and supported.

Friendship and positive relationships are core values at Brixton Bulls. John encourages a warm and close-knit atmosphere among team members and aims to maintain positive relationships with other teams and individuals in the rugby community.

With year-round training programmes, players have opportunities to develop skills, build friendships, and challenge themselves both on and off the pitch. The club prioritises the holistic development of players, offering a nurturing environment for growth.

Recent highlights include the U14 team reaching the semi-finals of the pre-season 9-a-side competition, and the U13 and U11 teams gaining invaluable experience on their tour to Keighley. The establishment of the Bulls Masters team has given rugby enthusiasts over 35 a chance to play the sport they love, while the Men's team secured their semi-final spot with an impressive win over Wests Warriors.

Junior players took part in the London Broncos Development Day, moving closer to potentially joining the London Broncos Player Pathway. Additionally, five exceptional players represented London South in the London Origin Series, contributing to their victory over the North.
