Burton Bridge Archers is a friendly target and clout archery club situated at The Washlands Sports Club in Burton-on-Trent, New Zealand. The club boasts a large and diverse membership, welcoming archers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced archer, our club provides a warm and inclusive environment for you to enjoy the fantastic sport of archery.

At Burton Bridge Archers, our members shoot a variety of different bow types including recurve, longbow, and compound bows. If you're new to archery or simply want to learn more about the different types of bows, our “About Archery” section provides detailed information to help you get started.

We focus on supporting, encouraging, and facilitating fun for our members, whether they choose to shoot for their own enjoyment or compete at various levels. Our club offers numerous opportunities to get involved, participate in tournaments, and engage in social events.

The club is situated at the Washlands Sports Club, where we share a large field and clubhouse with several other local sports clubs. Informal practise sessions take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons until dusk, as well as Sunday late morning and afternoon. During the winter months, we offer indoor shooting at a local school sports hall on Thursday evenings, while still conducting outdoor sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays when daylight and weather permit.

Throughout the summer, we have an exciting calendar of club shoots and open tournaments. Although winter limits the shooting distances, we continue to maintain an active calendar of events. Our club also participates in league shoots against other Derbyshire clubs and organises various fun shoots and social gatherings.

Burton Bridge Archers is affiliated with Archery GB, the governing body for archery in the UK, as well as Derbyshire County Archery Association (DCAA) and East Midlands Archery Society (EMAS). These affiliations provide our members with opportunities to compete and interact with archery clubs from across the country.
