BURY TANGO

BURY TANGO is a renowned dance school in Bury Saint Edmunds, offering authentic Argentinian Tango classes and events. With over ten years of experience, BURY TANGO has established itself as a friendly and welcoming Tango club in the region, attracting dancers from all over East Anglia and beyond.

The main venue for BURY TANGO is The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds, where they hold their weekly classes and events. Every Monday, intermediate dancers can participate in a one-hour class taught by either Lorraine & Robert or Jim & Sharon. This is followed by a practica, providing dancers with the opportunity to practise their skills until 10:30pm.

Tuesdays are dedicated to beginners and improvers, with a class held from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at The Hunter Club. This is also followed by a practica, where dancers can further enhance their skills. In addition to their regular classes, BURY TANGO also organises various events throughout the year. The diary dates for 2024 include a Milonga on Sunday, January 21st, at Culford Village Hall, and guest teacher workshops with Erin and Doruk on the same day. These workshops provide an opportunity for dancers to learn from renowned Tango professionals and take their skills to new heights.

BURY TANGO utilises multiple venues for their classes and events. Besides The Hunter Club, they also host ad hoc and Sunday Tea Dances at Culford Village Hall and Milongas & Tea Dances at The Centre on St John's Street. These diverse venues provide dancers with a variety of settings to enjoy the beauty of Tango.

The admission policy at BURY TANGO encourages dancers to prioritise the well-being of others. They kindly request that anyone feeling unwell or with easily transmissible conditions refrain from attending classes or events. The club recommends bringing one's own drinks and appropriate clothing due to the lack of drink supply at The Hunter Club venue and the use of air conditioning. Attendance at BURY TANGO is solely at the risk and responsibility of the individual.
