Located at the Sir Stewart Bovell Park Sporting Complex in Bovell, Western Australia, the Busselton Football & Sportsman's Club has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1955. The club serves as the home for several sports teams, including the Busselton Magpies Football, Busselton Magpies Football Netball League, Busselton Men's Darts, Vasse Kakkas Football Club, and Busselton Masters Australian Rules Football Club.
Competing in the South West Football League, the Busselton Magpies Football team boasts a range of teams, including League, Reserves, Women's, Colts, Youth Girls Year 10-12, and Year 11/12. The Busselton Masters ARFC competes fortnightly in the Master Rules competition, while the South West Netball Football League competition features League, Reserves, U18s, and U16s teams. On Thursday nights, the Men's Darts team showcases their skills, and the Vasse Kakkas compete in the Onshore Cup league.
The clubrooms, where members gather to support their teams, are conveniently located at Sir Stewart Bovell Park on Bussell Highway, welcoming all visitors as they enter town. In addition to exciting sports action, the Busselton Football Club organises various social events and functions throughout the year. A highlight is the Friday night dinners served at the club kitchen from 6 pm until 8:30 pm, providing an opportunity for community members to enjoy a delicious meal while listening to the coaches name their sides for the upcoming week. The Busselton Football Club is always seeking to develop and nurture talent on and off the field. As such, coaching opportunities are regularly available, and applications are invited for positions such as Reserves, Colts, Year 11/12 (potentially two teams), and Youth Girls coaches. Individuals passionate about coaching and developing young athletes are encouraged to apply before the application deadline on Friday, 4th November 2022.
