The Calgary North Baseball League is gearing up for another thrilling season of baseball in Calgary! With a focus on fair play and keeping older youth engaged in the sport, the league guarantees that every team gets a shot at the playoffs.
Games are scheduled in the evenings on weekdays at 6:30 and any time between 9 am and 9 pm on weekends. The regular season kicks off on April 28th and runs until June 10th, with playoffs to follow. Teams just need a minimum of 8 players to start a game, and a courtesy runner for the catcher can be used in certain situations to keep the action flowing.
Rules like the mercy rule and maximum runs per inning are in place to make sure every game is competitive and well-managed. Pitch counts and substitution rules are there to look after the players' well-being and keep the game fair for everyone involved.
