Cambridge Karate Dojo, a well-established traditional shotokan karate club in the heart of Cambridge, invites all karate enthusiasts to an exciting upcoming event. As a member of the Japan Shotokan Karate England group and proudly affiliated to JKA WF England, the club is dedicated to following the authentic teachings of JKA HQ.
Founded in 2014 by the skilled Ken Hori Sensei, the club initially served as a platform to empower his own children with the art of karate. However, in 2017, he generously extended the opportunity to fellow karate-kas, allowing them to benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience. Now boasting a remarkable membership of over 100 individuals, including an impressive quarter of black belts, Cambridge Karate Dojo warmly welcomes participants of all levels – from eager beginners to seasoned black belts.
At Cambridge Karate Dojo, inclusivity, and camaraderie are at the core of the club's values. All classes are mixed in age, fostering an environment where both young and mature practitioners can thrive together. The minimum age requirement to join our karate family is 8 years old, ensuring that participants are equipped with the necessary physical and mental maturity to reap the full benefits of this ancient martial art.
If you yearn to unleash your inner warrior and embark on a journey of self-discovery through karate, then this upcoming event is perfect for you. For additional information or any inquiries, please feel free to get in touch with Ken Sensei via the contact details provided on our page.
Come and be a part of Cambridge Karate Dojo's thriving community – a place where discipline, respect, and perseverance are instilled in every individual, helping them become the best version of themselves both on and off the tatami. We look forward to welcoming you with open arms and introducing you to the dynamic and exhilarating world of karate.
