The Canberra Academy of Chess is excited to announce the upcoming Canberra Chess Challenge 35! This is a great opportunity for young chess enthusiasts under 18 to showcase their skills in a fun and competitive environment.
On Sunday, 22nd September 2024, head over to the Canberra Academy of Chess in Phillip, ACT for this 7-round Swiss tournament. With 15 minutes per player per game, everyone will have a chance to battle it out on the board. Trophies await the top three players overall, along with special age group prizes for 11/12, 9/10, and under 8 year olds. Plus, all participants will walk away with an electronic certificate of participation as a memento of the day.
Registration kicks off at 9:15am, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot. Round 1 fires up at 9:30am sharp, with prize giving scheduled for 12:30pm. Don't forget to pay the $40 entry fee online before 5:00pm on 20th September 2024 to guarantee your place in the tournament.
