Cercle Angevin De Tai Chi Chuan

Welcome to the website of the association "Cercle Angevin de Tai Chi Chuan" in Verrières-en-Anjou. This association offers information on the courses, workshops, and teachings provided. Interested individuals can join at any point in the year, subject to availability in chosen time slots. The first session is a trial class with no commitment required.

The 2023-2024 season kicks off with a chance to meet the association at Verrières-en-Anjou's association forum on Saturday, September 2, from 9 am to noon. Classes will commence on Monday, September 11, with the same timing and schedules as the previous year. Private lessons are available on Tuesday evenings upon request. Convenient parking is available next to the venue, with a request to utilize distant spots first for efficient parking arrangements.

"Tai Chi Chuan" translates to the "Supreme Ultimate Fist" and is a Chinese internal martial art characterized by slow, flowing movements. Regular practice of this meditative and movement-focused art form enhances flexibility, stability, and vitality through the pursuit of continuity. Known as the "movement of the three thousand remedies," Tai Chi promotes health and well-being in daily life. Qi Gong, focusing on breath and energy work, complements Tai Chi by emphasizing balance between body and mind.

Established in 2002, "Cercle Angevin de Tai Chi Chuan" is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing Tai Chi Chuan practices for holistic well-being. Initially based in Angers and later expanding to Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou in 2008, all classes are currently held in the renovated Tai Chi dedicated facility at 4 Route de La Reue in Verrières-en-Anjou. The Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan, passed down from Yang Chen Fu through Gin Soon Chu, forms the foundation of the association's teachings.
