Chess Power Invercargill (Junior) Regionals

Chess Power is thrilled to announce the upcoming Term 2 Invercargill (Junior) Regionals tournament set for Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Calling all young chess enthusiasts from Years 1-6 to join in on the fun and competition. The event will be hosted at Waihopai School, featuring a 7 Round Swiss format where each player will have 15 minutes per round to strategize and make their moves count.

Participants are kindly reminded to arrive before 8:45 am for check-in to ensure a smooth start to the tournament at 9:00 am. A warm welcome session will kick off the day, followed by intense chess battles among the students. Wrapping up the event, a prize-giving and farewell ceremony will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm to honor the participants' efforts and achievements.
