Chi Kung, which translates to “energy work” in English, is an ancient Chinese form of movement exercise that promotes the flow of vital energy, known as chi, through the body. It incorporates exercises for stretching, mobilising the body and joints, breathing techniques, slow movement exercises, static postures, special walking methods, and meditation. Chi Kung builds up chi to establish physiological and psychological harmony, drawing inspiration from Chinese Medicine, Taoist, and Buddhist philosophies and practises.
