Welcome to Coast Boats, a rowing club based in West Mersea, Colchester. Founded and managed by Reuben Frost, we pride ourselves on our dedication to the sport of rowing. With a focus on both recreational and competitive rowing, Coast Boats provides a range of options to suit rowers of all skill levels and interests.

At Coast Boats, we manufacture a range of traditional rowing skiffs and act as agents for Liteboat. Additionally, we are proud to manufacture locally produced rowing skiffs, ensuring that we provide high-quality rowing equipment to our members.

For those interested in trying out our boats before committing to a purchase, we offer demo boats for trial. These include the LiteRiver, Lite Sport 5. 0, Lite Race 1x, and LiteDuo. Please contact us for further information or to book a demo.

Coast Boats also offers coastal rowing taster sessions for beginners. These 90-minute lessons, priced at 45 per person (Barbarians 32 per person), provide an introduction to coastal rowing within the beautiful Blackwater estuary and Mersea creeks. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Please note that these sessions are limited to a maximum of one person.

We also offer private lessons for coastal rowing, suitable for rowers of all abilities. Similar to our taster sessions, these lessons are 90 minutes long and cost 45 per person (Barbarians 32 per person). With a maximum of two people per lesson, you can enjoy a personalised training session tailored to your specific needs.
