Led by fully qualified instructors and coaches who have a wealth of experience in Taekwondo. Our team consists of two male instructors and one female instructor, each with over 30+ years of experience in the sport. They have competed in Poomsae (Patterns) and Kyrugi (Sparring) at National and International levels, and have attended top seminars led by Masters and Grand Masters across the UK.
At DAN Taekwondo School, we offer classes for all ages, starting from 6 years old to adults. Our programmes are designed to help you with physical development, flexibility, and strength. Alongside physical training, our classes also focus on improving self-confidence, discipline, social skills, and self-defence in a safe and controlled environment.
Our classes consist of traditional Taekwondo training, including Poomsae, self-defence techniques, discipline training, and gradings/belts. Additionally, we incorporate modern Taekwondo elements such as sparring/kurugi and competitions. Fitness training is also a key component of our classes, helping you improve your overall health and fitness levels.
We pride ourselves on not being a Black Belt factory. Our students earn their belts when they are truly ready, and not based on a schedule determined by a chequebook. We believe in guiding each student to challenge themselves and break through their mental and physical limitations. While we train as individuals, we work as a team, fostering a sense of unity and support among our members.
For children, our Kids Taekwondo Classes provide a solid foundation for their development. We teach them the basics of self-discipline, teamwork, and respect, which can carry over to a positive life both in and after school. Our grading syllabus is designed to help children improve their mental and physical capabilities, enhancing their overall well-being. And of course, Taekwondo is also a lot of fun for kids!
Our Dojang is located in Rottingdean, Brighton, and offers free on-site parking for your convenience. We welcome beginners and offer a free trial class for those looking to try something new in 2024.
