hidden gem in the world of backcountry skiing. Our lodge offers a unique experience for skiers looking to escape the crowds and experience the untamed beauty of British Columbia's wilderness.
Built in 1985, Dezaiko Lodge has a rich history as one of the first backcountry ski lodges in the province. In 2021, the lodge underwent a significant expansion and renovation to enhance guest comfort while preserving the original charm and character of the lodge.
Guests at Dezaiko Lodge have access to a vast expanse of terrain, with natural glades and open forests stretching from treeline to valley bottom. With peaks rising to about 7000 feet, skiers can explore a variety of runs ranging from above treeline alpine terrain to tree runs that extend down to 3500 feet.
The lodge's location on the snowy western slope of the Rocky Mountains ensures a plentiful snowpack, with an average of 300 cm of snow each season. The cool, moist climate of the area results in light, dry powder that is a dream to ski on.
Guests consistently praise the accessibility of the terrain from the lodge, as well as the diverse range of skiing opportunities available. Whether you're a seasoned backcountry skier or new to the sport, Dezaiko Lodge offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of big snow country.
Come and experience the magic of Dezaiko Lodge, where adventure and exploration await in the pristine wilderness of the Dezaiko Range.
