Diane Montgomery, the organiser behind Diamontes Dance & Drama, would like to share some exciting news with the sports community. Located in the heart of Belfast, Diamontes Dance & Drama has been a cornerstone since its establishment in 2003, offering exceptional dance and drama tuition for children aged 3 to 18 years.
Diane's school offers a variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, and drama, making it a fantastic place for young dancers to explore their passions and enhance their skills. Diane believes ballet is essential for all dancers, teaching poise, posture, balance, and coordination. Tap classes bring the joy of percussive sound and movement, while jazz classes incorporate modern styles to boost strength, flexibility, and coordination.
Diamontes Dance & Drama also features acrobatic arts, which blends acrobatic movements in a dance context. This class covers limbering, tumbling, and partnering, all designed to boost creativity. Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet, jazz, modern, and acrobatics, allowing dancers to express emotions and develop their expressive skills. Drama classes, meanwhile, help in building communication, teamwork, and creativity.
Classes are tailored to different age groups and skill levels, with Tiny classes for ages 3 to 6, Junior classes for ages 6 to 11, and Senior classes for ages 11 to 18. There's even a Mixed Ability Group suitable for adults with additional needs.
The 2024 season's timetable is comprehensive, with classes happening at various locations in Belfast such as Cregagh Methodist Church, Cregagh Community Centre, and the Spectrum Centre. Mondays, for example, feature Tiny Ballet, Tiny Tap, Tiny Drama, and Grade 4+ Ballet. Other days include Junior Lyrical, Senior Lyrical, Junior Tap, Senior Tap, and Acrobatic Arts, among others.
