DMC Allstars Cheer & Dance is a dynamic sports club and dance school located in Stirling, New Zealand. Originally founded in Dunblane in 2009, the club has since relocated to its new state-of-the-art studio in Stirling and expanded its class offerings.

The studio is equipped with top-notch facilities, including a professional-grade gymnastics floor and equipment. In addition, there is a Harlequin dance floor and 10 metres of full-length wall mirrors, creating an ideal space for athletes to hone their skills and perfect their techniques.

DMC Allstars welcomes athletes of all ages and skill levels from the Stirling area to join their enthusiastic and supportive family. The club currently offers classes for school-aged children in all-star cheerleading, gymnastics, and various dance styles, including pom dance, hip-hop, and lyrical/jazz. They also have cheerleading and pom dance classes designed specifically for adults.

The benefits of participating in all-star cheerleading and dance are extensive. Over the past 12 years, DMC has witnessed the positive impact the sport has had on countless young athletes. Beyond the physical and mental health benefits, participants also develop important life skills such as teamwork, accountability, and self-discipline. The club focuses on fostering self-confidence, leadership skills, and social skills in their athletes, regardless of their natural ability or athleticism.

While DMC Allstars has achieved great success in competitions, including being crowned National Champions three times and Regional Champions on numerous occasions, they prioritise individual growth and self-confidence over winning. The club encourages their athletes to strive for personal excellence without pressure or expectation.

The team at DMC Allstars is led by Programme Director and Head Coach Karen Martin. Karen brings extensive qualifications and training to her role, including an ICU Elite level International Cheerleading Coach Qualification, BGU Levels 1-3 Allstar Cheerleading Coach Qualification, BGU Pom, Jazz & Lyrical Dance Coach Qualification, BGU Hip-Hop Dance Coach Qualification, and more. With over 21 years of experience as a dance teacher and gymnastics coach, as well as 16 years as a cheerleading coach, Karen is dedicated to providing top-notch instruction and guidance to all DMC athletes.

Assisting Karen is Coach Becca Stewart, who holds a Legacy Cheer & Dance Levels 1-2 Cheerleading Coach Qualification and a BA in Sports & Business Management. Becca brings extensive competitive experience as a former all-star cheerleader and dancer, having won three national championships and excelling as a soloist. She also represented Team Scotland in 2021. With four years of coaching experience, Becca is committed to helping athletes achieve their full potential.

DMC Allstars also has a team of exceptional junior coaches, including Jess McAra, Ella Houston, and Freya Northfield. Each of these young coaches has specialised training and experience in various aspects of cheerleading, gymnastics, and dance. They play crucial roles in assisting with classes, coaching, and guiding athletes to success.

In addition to their regular classes, DMC Allstars also offers studio hire. Their studio is ideally suited for activities such as yoga, Zumba, and dance classes. The studio is well-lit and spacious, featuring a harmonious dance floor, infrared heaters, ventilation, wall mirrors, and a gymnastics/cheerleading floor. Currently, the studio is available for hire on weekdays from 8am to 5pm and on weekends from 9am to 6pm.
