About

DOJO WU is a renowned martial arts school in Singapore that focuses on teaching traditional full contact Kyokushin karate. Founded in 2012 by Sensei Jimmy Lim, the school has since grown to become one of the largest Kyokushin karate schools in Singapore, affiliated with the prestigious WKO (World Karate Organisation) Shinkyokushinkai organisation.

With training locations at King George Building in Lavender, SCAPE in Orchard Road, Our Tampines Hub, and JTC Summit, DOJO WU welcomes students of all nationalities between the ages of 6 to 60. The school offers a range of classes throughout the week, with a strong emphasis on Kihon (Basics), Kata (Form), and Kumite (Sparring) training.

The head instructor, Shihan Patrick Teo, is a 5th Dan Black Belt and the Singapore Branch Chief and President of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Singapore. With over 30 years of coaching experience, Shihan Teo has nurtured many promising young and adult fighters within the school.

Sensei Wu Jie Jun, a seasoned fighter and technical trainer at DOJO WU, brings a wealth of experience from various martial arts disciplines. He is known for his precision and power in his fighting techniques, having achieved notable success in Kyokushin karate tournaments.

Sensei Melvern Ong is another dedicated instructor at DOJO WU, who began training in Kyokushin Karate in 1987. He obtained his 2nd Dan Black Belt under Shihan Kenji Midori's guidance and continues to train diligently to fulfil his commitment to his students and fellow members.

At DOJO WU, students not only learn the art of Kyokushin karate, but also build character, discipline, and a strong sense of camaraderie through their training. Join us at DOJO WU to experience the true essence of traditional full contact karate in Singapore.
